| You can use the Presto Gigabit Pro PCIe card in a PCI 2.0 slot in any computer except the following two models:
1) Mac Pro (early 2008-machine ID 3,1). Use a PCIe 1.1 slot instead. Slots 3 and 4 (top two slots) are PCIe 1.1 slots.
2) Xserve (early 2008-machine ID 2,1). Use PCI-X riser and Presto Gigabit Pro PCI card instead.
The Sonnet Presto Gigabit Pro PCIe card is fully compatible with the PCIe 2.0 slots in the Mac Pro (early 2009, machine ID 4,1), Xserve (early 2009, machine ID 3,1), and all other models. |
