| The Carapace for the Apple Aluminum keyboard looks distorted inside the clamshell package. | Sep-17-09 |
| The Carapace's silicone material regains its shape after taken out of the package. Once the Carapace is on the keyboard, the Carapace may initially have just a tiny bit of waviness at the edges.
Sonnet decided to wrap the silicone around the edges of the keyboard for the ultimate in keyboard spill protection. A major competitive product does not wrap around the edges, so a spill at the edge could run underneath. It was a design choice. The tradeoff is that the Sonnet design offers complete spill protection at the expense of a bit of waviness on the wraparound. |
