| My computer supports two 4k displays, but only one of my MST 4k displays works at a time. | Aug-02-18 |
| If your computer supports two 4k displays over Thunderbolt 3 (see FAQ 903), and you have an early 4k display that needs MST to achieve 60Hz refresh, then you must lower the refresh rate to 30Hz to light two displays.
Many early 4K displays use Multi-Stream Transport (MST) to achieve 4k @ 60Hz. Because Thunderbolt 3 has a maximum of only two streams of video (some computers have only one stream, see FAQ 903), you cannot support two MST displays at 60Hz. Change the refresh rate of both monitors to 30Hz and change monitor setting MST to SST.
Sharp PN-K321: Choose Menu > Setup > DisplayPort STREAM > MST > Disable
ASUS PQ321Q: Choose OSD menu > Setup > DisplayPort Stream >Disable
Dell UP2414Q and UP3214Q: Choose Menu > Display Setting > DisplayPort 1.2 > DIsable
Panasonic TC-L65WT600: Choose Menu > Display Port Settings > Stream Setting > Disable
Other DisplayPort displays: check with the display manufacturer for compatibility information. |

| My Dual DisplayPort or Dual HDMI Adapter stopped working after the macOS 10.15.6 update. | Mar-30-20 |
| If you have a Mac with the T2 security chip:
iMac Pro
Mac Pro introduced in 2019
Mac mini introduced in 2018
MacBook Air introduced in 2018 or later
MacBook Pro introduced in 2018 or later
The Sonnet Dual DisplayPort or Dual HDMI Adapter may stop working after the 10.15.6 update. You can try using the Startup Security Utility to set External Boot to "Allow booting from external media." If this is already set, you must set it to "Disallow booting from external media", restart, then set to "Allow booting from external media", and restart.
This issue does not affect all configurations and we cannot reproduce the issue. Please let us know whether you have this issue and whether this procedure solves it for you. |
