| My system crashes, freezes, or fails to connect when I talk to a storage device on the network | May-13-22 |
| Go to System Preferences...Network.
Select the 10GbE port and click "Advanced..."
Select the Hardware tab.
If Jumbo packets are on, turn them off, click OK and click Apply.
If that fixes the problem, then stay at Standard (1500), or check the Jumbo packet setting of every switch and device in the path.
If that doesn't fix the problem, check Flow Control.
If Flow Control is off, turn it on; or if it is on, turn it off. Not all devices support flow control, or the absence of flow control. |

| Upon connecting the Solo10G, I see an error message "Accessory Needs More Power" | May-13-22 |
| Your computer does not have 15W available that the Solo10G requires, but instead only 7.5W.
When plugging external devices into a MacBook Pro, the 15-inch and 13-inch models with four Thunderbolt 3 ports will provide 15W only to the first two devices and then 7.5W to the second two devices in the order that they are plugged in, irrespective of port and device type. The 13-inch model with only two Thunderbolt 3 ports will provide 15W to the first device and 7.5W to the second. Try disconnecting all the devices and plug in the Solo10G Thunderbolt 3 Adapter first.
Some PCs do not supply 15W to all of the Thunderbolt 3 ports. Check you computer specifications for details. Make sure the Solo10G is the first device plugged into the computer. |

| I upgraded macOS Big Sur to version 11.1, and my Solo10G stopped working. | May-13-22 |
| This update corrupts the network settings. To recover, you need to delete the network plists and recreate your network settings.
Launch Terminal and type the following:
sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkPreferences.plist
sudo rm /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
Restart and recreate your network settings.
If that doesn't work, contact support@sonnettech.com. Be sure to save and send a System Report. |
