| Aria extreme no longer works in a Titanium PowerBook G4. | May-07-09 |
| If you have an Aria extreme card that has been working for awhile and "all of a sudden" no longer works (no power light and no activity light), there may be a connection issue. This problem is unique to the PowerBook G4 Titanium (TiBook) models. The cable connecting the PCMCIA cage internally to the logic board has come loose. Usng extreme care and following all standard precautions before working inside your notebook (ie. static electricity discharge, proper grounding, etc.), you will need to flip up the keyboard and check the wiring that connects the PCMCIA cage to the logic board. Push on both ends to make sure the wire is seated properly. Restart the machine. The card should once again work as it did before. |
