Operating System Requirements: macOS 10.14-macOS 11
Description: This software provides support for the Sonnet Thunderbolt Pro P2 Card Reader with computers running macOS 10.14 - macOS 11.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

This driver is not compatible with M1 Mac computers.

You need to use the top Thunderbolt ports on the 2019 Mac Pro. (For some odd reason the rear Thunderbolt ports of the 2019 Mac Pro are not compatible with the P2 reader.)

941 My P2 Reader does not work in macOS 10.13.Mar-03-22
Starting with High Sierra, macOS implements VT-d (virtualization technology for directed IO) more aggressively than previously, and this breaks the P2 driver. As a workaround, you can turn off VT-d, but it will probably stop Parallels and Fusion VM systems from working.

In Terminal, enter
sudo nvram boot-args="dart=0"
then reboot.

After Sonnet releases a driver that is compatible with the 10.13 implementation of VT-d in Thunderbolt 3 Macs, you can re-enable VT-d by entering in Terminal:
sudo nvram -d boot-args
then reboot.

If you have already installed the driver and it is not loading:
1) Restart (forces Mac OS to scan for unloaded drivers).
2) Go to System Preferences...Security & Privacy panel...General tab. You will see a message, "System software from developer "Panasonic Corporation" was blocked from loading." Click Allow.
3) Restart.
