User's guide for the Sonnet Fusion D400Q 4-bay Serial ATA enclosure with quad interface storage system. These directions apply to storage systems with drives.
When attempting to connect a Sonnet Tempo eSATA locking cable to a Tempo SATA E4P card in an Xserve, the locking connector housing may not fit in the tight space at the rear of the Xserve. To properly connect the cable, simply remove the locking housing from the connector end (two screws) and it will fit.
Set Windows Device Policy to "Optimize for performance":
1) Click on "Start," right click "My Computer," and select "Manage" from the popup menu.
2) On the left panel tree, select "Disk Management."
3) Highlight the Sonnet Fusion Volume and select "Properties" from the popup menu.
4) Select the "Hardware" tab.
5) Highlight the Sonnet Fusion Volume and click the "Properties" button.
6) Select the "Policies" tab.
7) Select the "Optimize for Performance" radio button.
8) Click OK and exit.
Note: Make sure to use "Safe Removal" before disconnecting a Fusion storage system.
