| Sonnet engineering has fixed this issue with some Fusion storage systems. This issue was addressed and fixed as follows:
APRIL, 2008: in Fusion D400Q and Fusion D500P systems with serial numbers beginning with J.
MAY 20, 2008: In Fusion D800RAID with serial numbers beginning with G.
All versions of Fusion R400Q and R800RAID are compatible with Seagate ES.2 Drives.
Note: Seagate ES.2 drives have lower performance than Sonnet recommended drives. |

| To improve performance, follow these steps:
Set Windows Device Policy to "Optimize for performance":
1) Click on "Start," right click "My Computer," and select "Manage" from the popup menu.
2) On the left panel tree, select "Disk Management."
3) Highlight the Sonnet Fusion Volume and select "Properties" from the popup menu.
4) Select the "Hardware" tab.
5) Highlight the Sonnet Fusion Volume and click the "Properties" button.
6) Select the "Policies" tab.
7) Select the "Optimize for Performance" radio button.
8) Click OK and exit.
Note: Make sure to use "Safe Removal" before disconnecting a Fusion storage system. |

| How do I replace a failed drive under warranty if I'm in a sensitive/classified environment and can't send the old one back? | Mar-23-10 |
| Seagate has a provisions in place to deal with replacing drives in sensitive / classified environments.
1. Start by going to the Seagate Warranty Validation page http://support.seagate.com/customer/warranty_validation.jsp
2. Input all the neccessary drive information and continue until you are issued an RMA or return#.
3. Contact Seagate at http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/about/contact_us to request a "Certificate Of Destruction". Seagate will send the COD via e-mail along with instructions on how to destroy the drive to their satisfaction. Certain parts of the drive will need to be shipped back to Seagate along with a filled out copy of the COD.
4. Once Seagate receives the COD and associated drive parts meeting their requirements, a replacement drive(s) will be shipped to the address set forth in the RMA. |
