| Hard drives are not recognized in a Fusion D400Q or Fusion R400Q when connected via FireWire or USB. | Sep-21-09 |
| When connected via FireWire, FireWire800, or USB, there must be a drive in the first bay (top bay of Fusion D400Q; left bay of Fusion R400Q); otherwise, the hard drives in the other drive bays will not be recognized. If hard drive is connected via SATA, there is no issue. |

| Seagate has a provisions in place to deal with replacing drives in sensitive / classified environments.
1. Start by going to the Seagate Warranty Validation page http://support.seagate.com/customer/warranty_validation.jsp
2. Input all the neccessary drive information and continue until you are issued an RMA or return#.
3. Contact Seagate at http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/about/contact_us to request a "Certificate Of Destruction". Seagate will send the COD via e-mail along with instructions on how to destroy the drive to their satisfaction.
