| I have a 17" MacBook Pro 6,1 and my ExpressCard does not work after upgrading to Mavericks. | Dec-30-13 | | There is a bug in the Apple ExpressCard driver specific to 10.9 (and 10.9.1) that prevents ExpressCards from initializing in the MBP 6,1. We have reported it to Apple and expect Apple to fix it in a future release. In the meantime, we have a patcher for you.
Download the Qio System Installer here http://www.sonnettech.com/support/kb/kb.php?cat=402&expand=_a3&action=b496#b496
When you get to the installation type, click 舠 Customize舡 , deselect everything but IOPCIFamily, and click 舠 Install舡 . Restart and all should be well. When Apple updates the ExpressCard Driver, it will overwrite the old driver with the Sonnet patch, so there will never be a need to uninstall. | | |
