115 Sonnet FireWire/USB ExpressCard/34 will not sleep in a MacBook Pro with a mounted USB device.May-07-09
This issue was fixed in Rev. A cards, which began shipping in December 2008. If you don't have a Rev. A card, an attempt to put a MacBook Pro to sleep with a Sonnet FireWire/USB ExpressCard/34 will result in the computer automatically coming out of sleep about 5 seconds after going into sleep. The solution is to either (1) unmount and disconnect any attached USB devices before sleep, or (2) power off and remove card before sleep.

756 Do the Sonnet USB 2.0 or USB 3 cards support the Apple SuperDrive?Apr-02-22
None of Sonnet's Cards with USB 2.0 or USB 3 (either Type A or Type C) ports support the Apple SuperDrive. You must use a built-in USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on your Mac.

According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5630, "The Apple USB SuperDrive is compatible with Mac models from 2008 and later that don't have a built-in optical drive."

778 I have a 17" MacBook Pro 6,1 and my ExpressCard does not work after upgrading to Mavericks.Dec-30-13
There is a bug in the Apple ExpressCard driver specific to 10.9 (and 10.9.1) that prevents ExpressCards from initializing in the MBP 6,1. We have reported it to Apple and expect Apple to fix it in a future release. In the meantime, we have a patcher for you.

Download the Qio System Installer here http://www.sonnettech.com/support/kb/kb.php?cat=402&expand=_a3&action=b496#b496

When you get to the installation type, click 舠 Customize舡 , deselect everything but IOPCIFamily, and click 舠 Install舡 . Restart and all should be well. When Apple updates the ExpressCard Driver, it will overwrite the old driver with the Sonnet patch, so there will never be a need to uninstall.
