| The Sonnet Dio USB 3 Media reader does not properly come out of sleep when connected to the Sonnet USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34. | Sep-25-12 |
| Explanation: For proper sleep/wake operation, USB storage devices need to have power maintained during sleep. USB ports typically maintain power during sleep, but an Expresscard/34 has no power source to maintain USB power during sleep and the Sonnet Dio Media Reader relies on bus power.
Solution: Unplug the Dio before sleep.
Wall-powered USB 3 storage operates correctly with the Sonnet USB 3.0 ExpressCard/34 through a sleep/wake cycle. The Sonnet Dio operates correctly through a sleep/wake cycle when connected to a native a USB 3 port on a windows computer or native USB 2 port on a Macintosh or that maintain USB power.

| Do the Sonnet USB 2.0 or USB 3 cards support the Apple SuperDrive? | Apr-02-22 |
| None of Sonnet's Cards with USB 2.0 or USB 3 (either Type A or Type C) ports support the Apple SuperDrive. You must use a built-in USB 2.0 or 3.0 port on your Mac.
According to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5630, "The Apple USB SuperDrive is compatible with Mac models from 2008 and later that don't have a built-in optical drive." |

| There is a bug in the Apple ExpressCard driver specific to 10.9 (and 10.9.1) that prevents ExpressCards from initializing in the MBP 6,1. We have reported it to Apple and expect Apple to fix it in a future release. In the meantime, we have a patcher for you.
Download the Qio System Installer here http://www.sonnettech.com/support/kb/kb.php?cat=402&expand=_a3&action=b496#b496
When you get to the installation type, click 舠 Customize舡 , deselect everything but IOPCIFamily, and click 舠 Install舡 . Restart and all should be well. When Apple updates the ExpressCard Driver, it will overwrite the old driver with the Sonnet patch, so there will never be a need to uninstall. |
