The Tempo SATA Pro ExpressCard/34 and Tempo edge SATA Pro ExpressCard/34 cannot be hot-plugged in the 17" MacBook Pro 8,3 (model with Thunderbolt). To activate the SATA ports, plug in the card and restart.

No. There is something non-standard about these products that are not supported by in-box AHCI SATA drivers. There is nothing Sonnet can do to fix this.
